Meet the Doctors

   
 Dr. Ted F. Hill, OD  Dr. Jay P. Ward, OD

Dr. Hill attended Oklahoma State University for his undergraduate studies.  He was accepted into the Charter Class of the Northeastern State University of Optometry in 1979 where he received his Doctorate in Optometry in 1983.  He received academic honors from the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society in 1982 and from the N.S.U. College of Optometry for his research in ultraviolet light protection from ophthalmic eyeglass lenses.

Dr. Hill has been licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Examiners in Optometry since 1983.  He is certified by the board in the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents as well as laser surgery.

Dr. Hill has been in private practice with Bixby Vision Clinic since 1983 and has been involved in his community serving on the Board of Directors of the Bixby Chamber of Commerce, the Bixby Optimist Club and the Daily Family YMCA.  He has coached youth baseball as well as basketball for both girl and boys in the Whitey Ford league through Bixby Public Schools.

 


Dr. Ward attended Oklahoma State University before being accepted to Northeastern State University College of Optometry early.  He finished his bachelors degree while attending NSUCO and receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1983.  He has been in private practice with Bixby Vision Clinic since 1983.

Dr. Ward takes pride in serving many of his patients children now, that were children themselves when he started his practice.  Dr. Ward strives to give everyone a hometown service while maintaining new technologies at the same time.  It is his goal to provide up-to-date Optometric services for another generation to come.  Dr. Ward and his family live here, worship here and have been proud to make Bixby home since 1983.  Dr. Ward and his wife Brenda have raised three girls in Bixby and watched them graduate from Bixby High School.

Dr. Ward now spends free time with his family, wife Brenda, his girls, sons-in-law and six grandchildren.  You may see him out on his bicycle pedaling away on nice days as well.
